The U.S. Mission in Nepal aims to develop a highly qualified and skilled workforce that reflects the diversity of Nepali society. This objective is based on the belief that credibility in representing American values of equal employment opportunity and diversity is based, in part, on “walking the talk” in employment practices.
The Mission is dedicated to hiring, training, mentoring, and sustaining a diverse workforce. Toward that end, the Mission affirmatively reaches out to qualified candidates from underrepresented groups. Every effort is made to ensure a workplace where all employees are treated with respect and valued based upon their contributions.
In order to create and sustain a diverse workforce, employees or candidates for employment are not discriminated against on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, marital or other group status. Employees at all levels of the Mission are called upon to help carry out the policies and objectives embodied in our Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity program.
