U.S. Mission in Kathmandu, will be closed for normal business on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.

To recognize the nation’s loss of former President George H. W. Bush, President Trump has taken official action to allow Federal employees to join their fellow citizens in remembering our forty-first President.  All Federal offices are closed and all Federal employees are excused from duty for the scheduled workday of December 5, 2018. 

Following the President’s order, the State Department and all annexes, both domestic and overseas, including the U.S. Mission in Kathmandu, will be closed for normal business on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.
